Got sick about a month ago, and unfortunately, most times I get sick it goes directly to my lungs. Sneezing, coughing, couldn’t breath, the usual. That lasted about 2 weeks, then as soon as I started feeling better, it came back even worse. Needless to say, didn’t feel up to training. So, took a bit of time off (again) and now I’m back at it. Bummer too since I felt like I was close to starting to hit PRs again. Oh well.

Bumped my numbers down a little and restarted this cycle of 5/3/1. Time to build up and move past.

Work has been insane again so a nice deadlift session is always a relief. 400 x 11 is not a PR, but I’m content with it tonight. Looking forward to a few fun things we’re doing this weekend.

Started my 32nd cycle of 5/3/1 tonight!

Training Log: Squat

Warm up sets

Working sets:

300 x 5

340 x 3

380 x 8 (not great, not terrible.)

 

No assistance, I’m done for this 5/3/1 cycle. Taking the weekend off, will begin a new cycle next week with the intention of setting new 1RM PRs on the 3rd week,, or at least seeing where I am at with everything.

Time to relax for a couple days.
