Nothing exciting at all as far as training this week, just some quick deload sets for each before I head into month 3 of BBB.

Had fun at the little man’s soccer game this morning though. They didn’t win, but had a fun game and played very well.

410 went up easy; wanted to push for more but staying with just regular number of reps for the BBB 3 month challenge still.

Stopped by Nutrition Zone on the way home from the little man’s soccer game today to pick up a premixed pre-workout. Wasn’t sure which one I’d try (I don’t use them too often anymore) so the guy gave me a sample of  NZ Nutraceuticals ‘Invincible’ to try, which was definitely appreciated.  Overall it was good stuff, no jittery feeling and kept me going through the lifts. Not going to say it’s a new favorite but it got the job done. I was happy to see them finally carrying Con-Cret, which is hands-down the best supplement I’ve ever used.

Next up is a quick deload which will be the end of my 2nd month of the Boring But Big challenge. Increase the assistance work to 70% of working 1RM next month and am fully expecting it to kick my arse, and it should be a blast! After that I’ll likely go into a regular 5/3/1 cycle but substitute my 531 week with progressive singles to test where I’m at with my maxes again. Looking forward to finding that out again.

Pretty uneventful as far as training goes. Did have fun playing handball with my son in between sets. He got to tell me all kinds of things about school and different Super Mario tricks he’s seen on YouTube. :)

Happy to say 465 went up easily. If I wasn’t sticking to my reps I would have definitely got a few more. Squats were fun; I’ve been trying to be very strict on my form and it has been feeling a lot better lately. Dawn even came out and hit the punching bag for a while, which was great.  I love having her out there with me.
