Stopped there because I knew that was all that was gonna happen. It’s only a 5lb PR, but I am very happy with it since I’d had to move my squat numbers down last year.

So that is it for my new 1RM tests. Current numbers:

Push Press = 225 lb.

Deadlift = 520 lb.

Bench Press = 270 lb.

Squat = 470 lb.

Total of all 4 = 1485 lb.

Total of the ‘big 3′ = 1260 lb.

I’m definitely satisfied what a 1260 total for now, will work to make it an even 1300, then onward and upwards.

Now it’s vacation time. We’re flying out to see one of my best friends (since the 10th grade) and his family. Really looking forward to seeing them.

Pleased with my new deadlift PR of 520 lbs. Thought I may have a little more in there but as you can see, 540/530 ended up as missed attempts. Still happy with this progress.

After all this I went and helped my neighbor. His motorcycle broke down at the entrance to our complex, so helped him push it up the hills and to his condo. Thing probably weighs 800+ lbs, so after all this I am pretty done.

So today I started with my tests of 1RM again, interested to see where I’m at with everything. I guess 225 isn’t terrible on the push press, but I’m not satisfied with it either. Just keep pushing along and it will increase. Funny how 5 lbs made that difference, 230 wouldn’t go, but 225 had no issues. Think I can do better. It is a 1RM PR, but to be honest I’ve never tracked this lift as much as the others.

Planning to enjoy Father’s Day with my wonderful wife and son tomorrow, then plan to pull deads on Monday.
